The cold wintry weather continues keeping migrating birds at bay?
The usual jaunt up Soil Hill but I did not hang about up there - Brrr!
Quite pleasant in the sun but bitter cold along the NW side of the hill.
A few snow flurries this afternoon while we had a walk to get some free range eggs and then some footie in the park with Abi.
A short, late evening stroll along the nearby fields, brought a busy day to a close.
Birds:-
Bradshaw Fields: Little Owl,
Farm Track: - not a lot.
Soil Hill: c20 Meadow Pipit, 4 Skylark, 3 Curlew, 6 Lapwing (Probably more but i did not venture far from the top).
Heron.
Taylor Lane: Little Owl No 2.
Bradshaw Lane: Pr. Little Owl (3 and 4).
Late evening (cold): c50 Woodpigeon, Stock Dove, Little Owl.
Still doing well for Little Owls John. Some of my usual spots have been deserted for some weeks now, or they have moved till the weather warms up - we'll see.
