Leeming Reservoir - Oxenhope

Abi with us today and we had a visit to White Windows.

Entry to the care home is ok now as long as we have a negative Covid test, so while the chemicals were deciding which way to vote, I had a nosy about the grounds.

On the way a Goosander was seen from the car as we crossed Sowerby Bridge, Bridge.

Lots of potential here with plenty of trees and some good berries showing.

Not a lot on offer this morning through with a few Long Tailed Tit and a Pied Wagtail being  of interest.

A Peregrine Falcon was seen elsewhere.

After some UNO games, this afternoon, I managed to slope off to Oxenhope ,while the ladies did some baking - Yum-Yum.

Leeming:-

I could really do with visiting some Calderdale Reservoirs (other than Ogden of course) however I was content with a  pleasant afternoon saunter around one of my favourite  'local' reservoirs being just 5 miles from home, compared to White Holme Res , another favourite but which is over 15 miles away.

Birds:-

Loads of Gulls on the ironwork and on the water - I took quite a few photos to scan through later on -  C140 Gulls in total.

6 (3 Drake) Tufted Duck.

2 Cormorant.

2 Goldcrest, Bullfinch, Chaffinch and a good few other small bird species.

4 separate Kestrel sightings although I doubt there were 4 different birds.

Great Spotted Woodpecker, airborne, distant.

Heron.

No migrant / winter Ducks which was a pity.

I don't know what these are?? Corvid??
The leading bird looks Raptor like though?
Too small for Buzzard?

The leading bird from above.
