Leeming Reservoir - Oxenhope

Abi with us again and a visit to White Windows , but I did get out this afternoon.

A short drive out to Oxenhope this aft. for a look at the Leeming Reservoir, wet throughout with heavy drizzle for a lot of the outing.

The water was unusually quiet at the outset with just a few Black Headed Gulls and Mallards, the Gull contingent did increase later on.

Shooting (Clay Pigeon shooting (I guess)) was loud coming from nearby, west.

No rarer ducks again!

Birds:-

Black Headed Gull, Common Gull, Herring Gull.

Cormorant, Mallard.

A Snipe flew over head.

A Sparrowhawk flew into trees.

Long Tailed Tit.

Bullfinch, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit.

Goldfinch, Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock.

I suppose a ,Snipe and Sparrowhawk sightings were not a bad result for a 1 hour outing in late November?

Peregrine Falcon elsewhere.

Halifax late evening
