I just had a short outing early morning to avoid the predicted big storm.
The small flood was mostly frozen over, alas, with lots of Jackdaws ,Crows and c60 Starlings hereabouts.
6 or so small Gulls were on the ice - Common and Black Headed.
A couple of Herring Gulls passed over head during the walk.
10 or so pretty Goldfinch were feeding on the seeds of some thistle-like plants by the busy road.
A Pied Wagtail flew out of sight towards the pub car park.
A Mistle Thrush was seen in tree off Bradshaw Lane.
