Clutching at straws birding.
Another grim dark day with fog this morning and heavy rain this aft.
Unfortunately we had to visit Sowerby Bridge after lunch where the traffic was extremely "Christmassy".
On the return journey we managed to miss a lot of the traffic by going under the railway bridge on the road towards Copley and up over Saville Park.
I had a quick look at the river near the traffic lights (Hallas Bridge I think?) but the plants now obscure the view, and with it pouring down I passed on going down the steps to get a better butchers hook of the river.
We had to call at Screwfix and Argos on our way home and I tried to 'inspect' the nearby trees and bushes (from the car) hoping for Waxi - it was pleasing to see a few Redwings in the Argos car park at least.
The photo is absolutely rubbish, but it will have to do!!!!
A pretty poor journey to Heckmondwike this evening to drop Abi off at her Dad's for Christmas.
