Ogden Water

Yet another wet and windy Ogden trip early afternoon!

The water was very choppy with c30 Small Gulls on it as I arrived.

They had dwindled to 4 Black Headed Gulls when I left.

Nothing in the sluice area again, but I did locate the Kestrel, sheltering on its favourite branch.

A small  flock of birds were at the first corner as I went along the west side.

They were high in the gloomy canopy, zipping about and calling and included Blue, Great and Coal Tit, Goldcrest and Treecreeper.

A Buzzard flew south of the Promenade.

1 Herring Gull flew through as I was leaving.

12 Canada Geese were on the Raggalds Flood, seen on my way home.

Pinkies:-

Earlier a grapevine text alert from AC of 34 Pinkies flying from Northowram to Town had me gorping through the bins through the Bradshaw misty sky towards Halifax.

I did pick them out,  very distant possibly over King Cross.

I went for the camera but they were gobbled up in the thick clouds and a couple of speculative photos zoomed up on the laptop later didn't catch em!
