Bingley Canal / Local Fields

We went for an exercise walk to Bingley, initially we were going to park at our usual place in St. Ives but the coinage parking machine has been replaced. You now need a parking app on your phone to pay - so we moved on.

We parked behind the 5 Rise Locks café and enjoyed a short, windy stroll along the canal.

A snack for lunch at the 5 Rise Locks café  was very enjoyable.

Not a birding walk but a few birds did appear.

Mid-afternoon I had the customary stroll up the local fields.

This too was a very windy affair and apart for one shower it remained dry.

Birds:

Bingley Canal:

2 Oystercatcher.

Song Thrush.

Greylag,  "Domesticated" type White Geese and Hybrids of both.

Bradshaw Fields:

Little Owl.

4 Wheatear. Again very wary.

A Buzzard over the house, fast, as I cleaned my boots.

>>>> 3 of 4 Wheatear.

2 Oystercatcher
