Garden 30° Hot

Emma had a specsavers appointment this morn-ing which ran well into the afternoon after a snack in Wetherspoons and shopp-ing etc.

A swelter-ing afternoon with 30° on the car thermometer.

Later on I sat in the garden, read-ing and crossword-ing.

As the evening progressed the sky darkened but somehow it remained dry.

Ive started putt-ing meal worms out for my local Blackbirds with the ground be-ing so hard it must be tough worm-ing for them.

White Windows garden had a Bullfinch, a few Long Tailed Tit, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Chiffchaff present.

All these call-ing not one ventur-ing out into the oven. (not a typo).

The Garden sky watch had 4 Mallard fly-ing over, late on.

dropp-ing down to the "Spoonbill Pond" (the pond I cannot see from here).

Just the regular Buzzard(s) about, mobbed by crows, occasionally.

One Buzzard was "mew-ing" as it passed.

Gulls are pass-ing by, high, on occasion.

Elsewhere a Peregrine was seen.

(I seem to have acquired a lik-ing or the -ing word - the fad will pass).

Ah, well, I think its time I had Carl-ing.
