Local Walk

And it came to pass that on the seventh day .......

After seven days of YUK - At last some decent weather and a (bit) of birding today.

We had a cold walk up to drop some of Sue's marmalade off  at Percy Road Ken's this morning, and we continued along, to drop down Taylor Lane.

Lots of water coming off the fields onto Taylor Lane, should be fun when the freeze arrives.

I had a quick look at Raggalds Flood where the juice is still present and it is  due another big water delivery tomorrow!!

After lunch we enjoyed a walk along the local lanes to the Causeway Foot (packed) for a beer before taking a quick look at Ogden from the Prom. then dropping down the lane before the prom. to pass by the white house (where catkins are appearing! ) onto Keighley Road.

Home via Cow Hill Gate Lane and Ingham Lane.

Ogden Lane had some lunatics drivers zooming along it - usual Bank Holiday fare!

Birds:-

A.M.

13 Black Headed and 1 Common Gull Raggalds Flood.

8 or so Starlings.

Not much else seen.

P.M.

A small skein of 32 Pink Footed Geese were heard, then seen from Ingham Lane > SW (ish), which brightened an otherwise dull do.

60 Plus Small Gulls seen at Ogden.

Today's Riddle.

You enter a deserted house in the middle of the night.

Inside is an oil lamp, a gas fire and a stove full of wood.

You only have one match.

Which should you light first.

Answer:-  Is shown after the photos below:-

The Match.

(Guess what Santa sent me).
