A long day out and about

Minus 4 on the car this am and a real frozen snowball it was!

A very cold but beautifully sunny day today, great day for a walk.

First job for me this a.m.  was to shift the very frozen snow off the drive - good exercise.

Fox tracks were in the garden.

Sue went to visit her old boss in Elland this a.m. and she dropped me at Elland bridge to walk along the river / canal to Brookfoot Avocet works.

A tad slippery along some of the canal and it was frozen in places, but no snow, the river was lower than of late.

Very enjoyable and not all that cold.

After a snack in Brighouse Spoons Sue had an appointment at White Windows ,Sowerby Bridge and I took the opportunity to walk from St, Peter's Church down St Peter's avenue to Fore Lane and up Fore Lane a bit before checking White Windows gardens.

Very cold along Fore Lane in the shade of the houses.

I was hoping to find a Brambling but failed.
