All over the shop

This morning I had a walk up to Soil Hill, over the summit path, down Ned Hill Rd and through the farms to home.

A great improvement on yesterdays weather with the gloomy stuff lifting and mostly dry.

This afternoon I had a look at Mixenden Reservoir from the top road but just a few distant Gulls on the banking was all I could see.

Next was a drive up to check the Raggalds Flood where the water is just hanging on.

This afternoon I had my usual saunter up the local fields where the temperature was a balmy one degree.

Some decent birds around (for me anyway) today.

Birds:-

Soil Hill Walk.

Stonechat.

Kestrel.

Barn Owl.

c10 Common Gull.

4 Herring Gull.

35 Fieldfare.

2 Mistle Thrush.

Green Woodpecker.

(2 Foxes were seen separately near Crabtree Hall Farm and Bradshaw Fields, one Fox was carrying what looked like a Jackdaw in its mouth).

(Could be the same Fox).

Raggalds Flood.

1 Lapwing.

8 Common Gulls.

2 Black Headed Gull.

Kestrel.

Local Fields:

1 Redwing.

C50 Jackdaw.

  1. Thanks for the fox reports John. We got one in the garden this week along with a badger at a different time - caught both on the trail cam ! Badgers are bad news in the garden - they like digging !!
