Local Stuff

We dropped Abi off at her new home in Wakefield yesterday evening.

On the return journey the M62 was closed at junctions 26 & 27.

We had to divert to the M1 with loads of others - took twice as long -  got home at 10:15pm. The joys of motoring.

A bright cold day today, clouded up mid-morning then the clouds cleared late afternoon.

Looks like its a freezer tonight.

This morning I had a short sky watch which brought me a distant Kestrel, and not much else.

Later I had a walk up to Percy Rd Ken's to pick up some jam jars (no bins or camera). On the way home a Green Woodpecker called loudly 3 times opposite DJB's house and as I got home the Green Woodpecker called from opposite our house.

Late afternoon I had a short walk up the local fields , very , very, quiet and calm - not much bird life.

Birds:-

Kestrel.

Green Woodpecker.

8 Herring Gull - very distant.

2 Stock Dove.

5 Magpie.

1 Goldfinch.

Little Owl.

1 Woodpigeon.
