A pretty lousy morning with thick misty stuff and that fine drizzle that wets you through.
The afternoon improved a bit, so I drove over to Ogden water to have a nosy about.
It was good to bump into DJB there and we did a circuit of the water.
Bits of nuisance drizzle came and went as we went around.
C50 Gulls at the outset but a lot fewer when we came to leave.
Just a smaller camera with me today and photos were not easy to come by.
Birds;-
The 'usual' finch species - although DJB recognised more species by call than I ever could!
Numerous Goldcrest were checked out.
A Goosander in the drink was nice to see.
8 Lapwing over head.
2 Bullfinch were at the far end of the prom and a small flock of Siskin flew from here across to distant trees.
A Buzzard was being mobbed by crows.
A few Treecreeper were seen and a few more heard.
Quiz:-
Wellington is the capital of which country?
