Sue had some Christmas shopping to do in Brighouse this afternoon and she kindly dropped me at Cromwell Bottom LNR car park so I could enjoy a few hours birding walk.
The weather was pretty dull and became more dull as the afternoon progressed. We had arranged to meet friends in Spoons later for tea and when the drippy rain started I headed off to get me pint & a curry.
In the meantime I walked along the canal and river spending quite some time gazing through the Ski Lake railings.
This proved useful because Goldeneye Ducks came into view, periodically from way over to my right, some just about visible on an angle through the railings.
Most birds were distant so the photos aint great.
It was nice to chat with Kath & Mick at the lagoon.

Wonder if the R T Diver will turn up there John. ?
ReplyDeleteHi Dave. yes I was looking out for it on this walk. The direction it was swimming in at H.Bridge on canal or river could bring it here. Must be plenty of fish given the huge number of Cormorant !!
