Elland to Brighouse

A new month and optimistic hopes of some rare and or scarce birds turning up in Calderdale.

My tip for a scarcity in December is Pine Grosbeak, now where are those nice pills I have to take in moments like this?

This morning, after the early rain had gone, I enjoyed a mild and bright walk along the canal from Elland to Brookfoot.

Some half decent birds seen periodically kept the interest ticking along.

It was good to have a quick chat to Mick and Kath near the Ski Lake Railings.
