A real grot bag of a morning in Bradshaw with thick misty stuff and some rain - cold as well.
We caught the first Sunday 502 bus (10:42 a.m.) to Cross Roads above Keighley and we were very fortunate to link up with the B3 Keighley - Hebden Bridge bus with just a 10 minute wait.
We called at the excellent Little H cafe in Hebden Bridge square for 'lunch' - a toasted T cake and a coffee (Sue's idea of lunch!).
After a short nosy around Hebden we headed off through the builders yard to pick up the excellent river path to Luddenden Foot.
Pretty quiet along here today but enjoyable non the less with the weather on the mend.
At Luddenden Foot we saw the backside of a Halifax bound bus leave our bus stop just before we got there - not a good omen on a Sunday!
Fortunately we only had a 15 minute wait before the next bus.
There had been a prang along the way and we were sat in traffic for quite a while but no hurry today.
At Halifax our Illingworth bus was in the bay due out in 6 minutes. Sue needed the toilet, I needed the toilet, Sue legged it - I didn't (Soft sod was scared of missing the bus).
Sue made it back with moments to spare. I'm quite good at crossed legged travel.
(Can't understand why the front of my jeans were all wet when I got home though).
Just a half mile walk to home - was a cold do.
Late p.m. I had a cold cloudy walk up the local fields.
