After lunch today we headed off to Ringstone Reservoir, Barkisland.
It poured down on the way there.
It poured down as we sat in the car waiting for it to stop.
It stopped, Sue read in the car, I went for a walk around some of the reservoir.
It poured down , again! on me 'ed.
It did fine up eventually and my last 30 minutes were pretty decent.
It was good to chat to LD and PD who I met as I was leaving.
It was well worth the soaking with a couple of additions to my meagre yearly birding list, and the strong wind soon dried me clothes out.
Birds:-
Quail. ( A first for me).
2 Common Tern.
4 Black Headed Gull.
2 Tufted duck.
2 Great Created Grebe.
Oystercatcher,
5 Linnet.
Skylark.
