12:40 - 14:30
Dry bright and breezy at Ringtone Reservoir, this lunchtime and I had couple of hours relaxing along the west side.
Just a heavy downpour as I was leaving - thunderstorms over Halifax at Tea Time.
The north fields soil was being 'moved about' by the farmer with some subtle ploughing by the looks of it. (I don't know what he will plant)?
There were many Gulls following the plough and plenty more on the north reservoir shoreline.
A huge (to me anyway) contingent of Canada Geese were relaxing on the water, only leaving when the downpour came later.
3 Greylag Geese were withe the Canada's.
Top of the shop were 3 Shoveler Duck.
A large black bird in with the Gulls on the ploughed soil look out of place but is probably a Cormorant.
Birds:-
Canada Geese.
1 Tufted Duck.
2 Common Sandpiper (very flighty).
2 Great Created Grebe.
1 Cormorant.
4 Teal.
9 Meadow Pipit.
9 Lapwing.
Kestrel.
3 Greylag Geese.
2 Pied Wagtail.
3 Shoveler Duck.
1 Greenfinch.
Load and Loads of Gulls.
and ......
as many midges as you can eat for free.
