Thick mist and drizzle when I arrived at the large roadside parking area and I had a quick look at (nothing) on what bit of the shoreline that was visible before sitting in my car and eating my butties.
I than drove the car along Turvin Road and parked near the water board track gate before following the track to the east side of Ringstone Reservoir.
The wind was very strong and I had drizzle most of the way, but some brightness on the horizon eventually made its way to visit me.
There is still a great expanse of shoreline especially on the west side the east side is slowly filling up.
The wind coming over the reservoir wall was a feature and made holding the camera and bins still a bit of a pain.
I did get some rewards through with separate sighting of Ringed Plover at different spots - 4 Ringed Plover in all were seen.
Some cracking Wheatear were seen on the way up and way back flitting about the rocks and on the drain channel.
I was pleased to pick out a Snipe deep in a muddy hole with just it's head poking out.
2 Sand Martins flew, west, 2" from the deck up the north side of the water.
A Buzzard flew low over the mud , un-Buzzard like, past me leaving via the north east end.
On my way back I met 2 birders with scopes neither had not seen any Waders so that was 'pleasing' in a way.
A quick look from Baiting Car Park, on my way up, revealed just a Black Headed Gull.
Birds:-
4 Ringed Plover.
4 Wheatear.
1 Snipe
1 Buzzard.
2 Sand Martin.
4 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
