Ogden

Woke (can I say woke anymore?) this morning, opened the outside door only to find my way blocked by my 20 year old Wisteria climber.

Part of the Wisteria had surrendered to the gale and had snapped off to dangle in the wind and rain.

I had to whip out my trusty loppers alas and give the poor fellow a big hair cut.

Most of the plant has survived which was pleasing as it very colourful in the summer.

After lunch I sat relaxing, doing the crossword with a coffee , wondering why the page was all wet and brown ( ho ho ).

Then I heard a mischievous voice in my ear saying :-

"It don't look too bad out there now - go to Ogden".

The voice was a lousy, lying dog because Ogden was very, very wet and very windy and a cold 7 degrees.

I took an older camera, fearing for the safety of my non-waterproof better camera in the downpours.

As well as me there were 10 or so other loonies here - dog people no doubt.

I was hoping the lousy weather had dropped a goody in  but no Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie or Graeme Garden appeared.

One lap of the water was enough to get me waterlogged and I sloped off home via Raggalds flood, where a sizeable pool now exists - just 2 Meadow Pipits here.

Birds:-

3 Bullfinch.

A few Chaffinch.

C25 Long Tailed Tit.

7 Canada Geese.

1 Cormorant.

6 Black Headed Gull.

c15 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Goldcrest.

Mallard.
