A late birding walk this evening as I waited for the gales and rain to sod off.
Most of the rain had gone but the wind remained and it was mega wild on Soil Hill summit.
It was good to get some exercise and a few birds were knocking about but not the ones I was hoping for alas.
Birds:-
Bradshaw Area:
Greenfinch. Wren. Goldcrest. Goldfinch.
Long Tailed Tit. 4 Dunnock.
Great Tit. Blue Tit. Jackdaw. Crow. Magpie.
Robin. 4 Stock Dove. Woodpigeon.
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull over.
1 Curlew (Syke Lane Fields).
Soil Hill Area:-
4 Curlew. 4 Skylark. 3 Lapwing. 4 Meadow Pipit.
2 Grey Partridge. 2 Pheasant.
c85 Fieldfare. 2 Pied Wagtail.
(Not bad given the gale on Soil Hill Summit).
