Garden & Local Fields

Today I spent most of the time in the garden (for one reason or another).

Later I had a walk up the local fields.

A mostly bright day with sunshine, but quite chilly at times.

More of this weather please!

Birds:

Garden:

Not much action in the sky here, alas.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was in the tree opposite our house.

Song Thrush.

Greenfinch.

2 Long Tailed Tit.

Goldfinch.

A Little Owl called from distant fields.

2 Buzzards over.

8 Magpie bobbing about and arguing with one another.

Local Fields:

14 Small Gulls were split 50/50 Black Headed and Common.

c70 Jackdaw.

2 Little Owl (Both calling loudly).

15 Magpie.

2 Stock Dove.

Chaffinch.

Not bad all considered.

  1. I'm hopeless at puzzles...... Think you must have one of the best areas in Calderdale for Little Owls John. A good number of my previously good sites are vacant - but I did find a pair this morning near 'the hill' !
