On the buses

A dull, murky cold day with some east in the wind... brrrrrr.

Today we had another bus adventure, this time a bus to Halifax followed by a bus to Elland.

The new Halifax bus station is in use but only half finished so if the information screens point you to , say, "bay K" for your bus , take it with a pinch of salt.

There are more buses arriving than spaces available for them, at times, so your bus may have to park up nearby.

Its very swish and will be great when finished.

We walked along the canal from Elland to Brighouse this morning.

No time for much 'dawdling' although I did have a short look at the ski lake and the lagoon.

It was good to chat to Kath & Mick near the ski-lake.

It was also good to get my 1st singing Chiffchaff , by the lake, also.

Birds:-

Canal Walk.

A Collared Dove was in Elland Town.

Chiffchaff.

4 Mute Swan.

Nuthatch.

Song Thrush,

4 Heron.

F Goosander.

A Kingfisher was very briefly seen by Ganny Lock.

Bullfinch.

I didn't pick owt special out peering through the ski-lake railings!

Local Fields.

Buzzard in a tree top.

2 Little Owls (both calling - one only seen).

A Song Thrush was singing loudly this morning from the tree opposite our house.

A second Song Thrush was near the Bradshaw Bus Stop.
