Bingley St. Ives

10:45 – 14:30

Windy with hail/sleet flurries but a lot of sunshine – cold.

A trip out to Bingley St. Ives brought some disappointment, no woodpecker seen or heard and nothing exciting on coppice pond.

Wood.
There was a very healthy contingent of Blue/ Great / Coal Tits in the woods,
also seen:-
Magpie: Blackbird 8: Nuthatch|: Robin 8: Dunnock: Wren: Redwing c20: Woodpigeon 4: Goldfinch:

Coppice Pond.
BHG c30: Canada’s 18: Coot : Many a Mallard: Greylag Goose.

Once I got home Sue insisted that we walk to the Moorlands for the early bird and a glass of spring water.
I put up a gallant fight against going out again ,but I eventually capitulated.
Sue did say that she fancied a cold hike.
(I had spag. bol. - brill).

Evidence of last night's storm
