Bradshaw Soil Hill Ogden

16:00 – 17:00.
With an hour to spare I did the usual trip today.

Bradshaw:

c30 Fieldfare, Starling, Magpie, Blue tit, Chaffinch, Dunnock.

Soil Hill 5 mins:

2 skylark making the best of a bitter, near gale SW wind.
I was glad to get down off the top.
20 Woodpigeon in the field below Soil Hill End Farm and c10 Goldfinch on Ogden lane.

Ogden:

After crossing the promenade it was very calm with no noticeable breeze.
18 Canada Geese and a Male Goldeneye on the pond with the usual gulls.
Usual suspects on the circuit: Blue tit, Great tit, Long Tailed Tit 3, Robin, Blackbird, Dunnock,  Magpie.
On the way home, approaching Ingham Lane, the weather turned decidedly black and I had a hail storm to accompany me home.

16 Honking Geese crossed Bradshaw Lane keeping very low – could have been the ones from Ogden – it was too dark (for me) to ID them with the naked eye. They looked to be heading to the Bradshaw ponds.
