It is the last day of Feb and after a frosty start it
turned into a lovely day.
I had an 1 ½ hrs to
spare while waiting for Sue, Emma & Abigail who were at the play gym.
The
trees on the walk down Park Road and through the park were peppered with Blue
and Great Tit. 7 Magpie were arguing in one tree. There were c10 Woodpigeon and
plenty of Blackbird activity.
A Jay made a quick appearance and the Goldfinch
were all chatting.
In the field at the bottom by the flooded lane there were
c50 Starling chattering on the Pylon and nearby field.
Redwing were moving
about here, it was difficult to judge how many there were.
A Song Thrush was
singing in the tree by the flooded lane and a Mistle Thrush was in the tree by
the pylon. On the way back there was many a Red-Red Robin, bobbing and a GSW was heard
but not seen.
All-in-all a very pleasant stroll.
A nice spot down there John
