BRADSHAW-SH-OGDEN CIRCULAR

After an awful rainy morning the sun came out.

12:30.
On the Bridleway to Taylor Lane 2 Mistle Thrush were in the trees near Bradshaw Hall. Further up Goldfinch, Blue Tit & Male Chaffinch was in the bushes.

SH 12:45
On SH 3 Skylark were singing and a Meadow Pipit and Kestrel also knocking about.

On the approach to Ogden, 6 Woodpigeon. A Curlew ,  far off over Ogden Moor, was just audible. Later - on the return journey Curlew could be distinctly heard.

Ogden.
On/Near the feeders:-
Blue/Great/Coal & LTT tit. Pr. Dunnock. Greedy Squirrel

Ogden Circuit.

Treecreeper, 6 Robin, 2 Blackbird.

Grey Wagtail on the feeder stream.

2 Goldcrest, Woodpigeon, Goldfinch near visitor centre.

Leaving Ogden.

7 Pheasant (4M 3 F). 
2 Kestrel hunting north and south of SH.
Opposite SH lane entrance c14 Fieldfare was perched on the wires.


(Also a new turdbine addition to the SH wind farm).

  1. Saw the crane working on Soil Hill today and was going to text NK saying Crane on Soil Hill but thought he would have gone running up there for a lifer.

  2. I saw the crane working myself on Monday, didn't tell anybody cos I just accept it as a matter of fact these days.
    Slipped up on the Skylark pic John; I can actually see the bird! Nice one with the 'creeper.
