Grimsby today – No - Ogden really (Burr it were GRIM).

16:30 – 17:45.

A good soaking for me today with a late afternoon visit to Ogden. Rain lashing down – went home via Perseverance with howling gale on top – forgot to nip up soil hill – can’t think why.

Ogden res. seemed a little less full of water with some sand and rocks showing. This may entice a Redshank?

Nothing on the feeders when I arrived – Woodpigeon and Magpie on them when I left.

On the water:

No Gulls! 20 Canada Goose. Mainly Male Mallard spread out (not at the feeding area). Male Goldeneye.

On the circuit.

Blackbird. Blue Tit looking very very damp!
Chaffinch. Wren 3. Goldcrest 2. Robin 5. LTT 3. Song Thrush.
C40 Woodpigeon in the Ogden Lane fields.

Nothing too exciting but at one point I thought I was going to see Nowt but rain.

A Long Tailed Tit.
(Ok so the picture's c--p. but so was the weather!)

  2. Thanks Brian. Once the waterproof trousers are on the weather can do as it pleases.( Makes using the bins & camera a pain though.)
