Reservoir Run.

Leashaw 10:00 am 3 deg. Hail Cold - Busy

On the way to Leashaw a grey Heron flew over near the Ogden wind farm.

Curlew 2: Canada Goose 20: Skylark.
Starling c150. Pr Goosander: Greylag Goose 4:
Redshank 2: M Pheasant 2:

Ponden – Quiet.

M. Mallard 4: Common Gull 2: Curlew: Oystercatcher 2: Kestrel.

Scar Top Pine Shop Café.

Bacon Sarnie 1: Pot of Tea 1: Toasted T Cake 1: Coffee 1:

Leeming – boggy.

Moorhen: Grey Wagtail 2: Curlew calling from the moor: Mallard c10:
Canada Goose 2: Kestrel.

On the way home 2 Curlew in the fields next to Long Causeway road.

Ogden 15:00 - quiet.

(Sue dropped me off at Ogden.)

Usual Canada and Mallard on the water.
Grey Wagtail: Dunnock 4: Song Thrush: Goldcrest 5: Curlew calling north end of res.: Goldfinch 7: Blackbird: Chaffinch 4: M. Pheasant.

On the way home nearly stood on a F. Pheasant (the F stands for female by the way). Flapped off in a panic me and the F. Pheasant.

No time to dawdle on SH and anyway I was quite tired by now and the snow came.

  1. A good trip round there John and a nice selection of birds. Sounds like Scar Top Pine Shop cafe is worth another coat of looking at.
