Spring arrives on Soil Hill.

Oats Royd – Roper Lane – Soil Hill.

A beautiful warm sunny afternoon had most of my warm clothes residing in my rucksack.

Oats Royd:13:00

An usual high count of dogs with their companions down there today – 6.
Pr. Mallard. LTT. Kestrel. 6 Woodpigeon. 6 Chaffinch. Jay. 3 Wren. Dunnock.

Roper Lane area 14:30.

Skylark singing over the cricket pitch and Greenfinch calling in flight and in the trees.

Raggalds Flood: 14.45

2 Lapwing
2 Common Gull. 
Pied Wagtail on the wall further up the road.
Possibly 2 Oystercatcher > NE.
On the pylon and in the field C200 Starling.

Soil Hill (No Coat!). 15:00

Skylark song everywhere.
8 Skylark. 
Curlew calling from Ogden Moor.
1 Meadow Pipit.
 Lapwing patiently sitting on the top.

On the exit track C30 Starling on the mast / field.
3 Fieldfare. 
2 Redwing.
Greenfinch calling on Taylor Lane.

Pied Wagtail waiting for me on the house roof.
