An odd week.

A short break in St Anne’s with Emma & Abigail started the week. Building sandcastles and pushing a wheelchair on the beach. Then Sue trying to coax Abi. Into the swimming pool and me trying to stop Emma from sinking in the pool.(It’s a real shame to see Emma struggle when just 6 or so years ago she was a superb swimmer and diver – that was before the M.S. struck).

Sue and I then managed a few days on a campsite at Llanddulas  nr Llandudno.

Birds:-

Possible Yellow Legged Gull, c80 Oyks, M Common Scoter , White House Sparrow (Leucism?)
Plus others.

And my first Male Redstart, for a long time, spotted on a walk at Sue’s cousins at Oswestry this morning. Now all I need is to see one at Ogden.

Not much time for birding but I did manage a few pics from Llandddulas:-

Today's post

Reclusive Jackdaw.

  1. Interesting Sparrow you got there and sorry but it is a LBBG, not a bad week though

  2. Nice Scoters and GBB. Got a few house Sparrows with white wing bars and tails up here but thats a cracker. Better luck next time with the YL gull.

Must be so hard for poor Emma, life can be so cruel.
