Bradshaw to Ogden

14:15

The usual walk, on a hot sunny afternoon.

On the way up to Soil Hill 3 Kestrel – one seeming to have a very white rump.

On Soil Hill contour path just a few Meadow Pipit but coming off the path to join Ned Hill track c20 Goldfinch.(I don’t know if this is a significant number for SH).

In the first conifer on the left , approaching the house on the Ned Hill track, a small bird singing periodically but it refused to be seen.

A Pheasant scooted across Coal Lane.

15:05 Plantation Lane

Very hot, very, very quiet with just a Blue Tit seen!!

Near  the Ogden promenade a quick glimpse of a jittery bird flitting from bush to bush which could have been a Whitethroat (but maybe the lack of ought decent today, had clouded my judgement by now).

On/ Over the wet stuff.

LBBG/ Cormorant - just one flying/ 6 Robin.
A possible Little Grebe – seen once then disappeared.
Tufted Duck (possibly camouflaged as the earlier Little Grebe).
Sleeping Juv. Dunnock.
2 Swallow over Causeway Foot Inn.

That’s the lot I’m afraid. Must be the hot sunshine?

Video taken with bird singing on Ned Hill track.
Not sure if
1.Blogger will play the sound on the video &
2. If the volume from the camera is good enough to be heard

Little Grebe?
