Ogden – The hunt for Goldeneye

Ogden 13:15 – 14:45

Sunday evening is fast approaching and with no report of Goldeneye at Ogden I though I’d spend a little while moseying  about there in the hope that one might drop in!

A very dull dank day.

A bit of a lacklustre outing with the highlight being 7 Bullfinch feeding together at the beginning of the west path.
Not a lot else, a few small Gulls, lots of Mallard, Dunnock, Robin, Great Tit, 6 LTT and a Dipper.
I had a good look for the kingfisher but without any luck.
At least the weather was not as wet as I expected.

With no sign of Goldeneye I promised B.S. that I would eat my hat so here is tonight’s menu:-

Starter:

Bowler Soup

Main Course:

Humble Pie with a Homburger and Beanie Salad.

Dessert:

Straw Beret Flan

To Follow:

A Nightcap.

After that lot I’ll definitely need the Pillbox later.

Intake stream now in full flow

Dipper country

A reminder of a) Goldeneye b) Ogden in winter

  1. I think you can be let off the hat devouring seeing as you got out there on a poor day and gave it a try. At least you got a Dipper, a bird I have,nt had this year amazingly.
I too gave the overflow a good looking at for Kingfisher but no joy, another bird missing off my list.
