With Sue driving again I resumed my usual Saturday saunter to
Queensbury.
It was cold and wet this morning with blustery
showers which kept the bird life at bay.
Raggalds
Flood 10:30
Very wet & windy up here.
13 Lapwing, 26 Small Gulls, 2 Mallard came into land
on the water while I was standing there wobbling in the gale. 2 Starling and plenty
of water.
There were 23 small gulls on the football pitch.
Lowe
Lane
Just a few gulls spotted with a single Wood Pigeon
struggling in the wind.
Old
Station Track.
Robin, 1 waited 15 mins or so for a bird to show
itself – a Great Tit – birds were hard
to come by this morning!!
A Mistle Thrush feeding in the fields with some
BHG, Wren , Pr Dunnock and a Robin.
Tunnel
Area.
A waterfall has now appeared with most of the water
going into the tunnel.
A Grey Heron took flight from the tunnel track.
Also there a Wren and a Sparrowhawk.
Nice to chat with Mark & Carolyn who were on a
trek to the Shibden Mill Inn.
Glad you checked the Flood John, ran out of daylight at tea time so no chance of checking it.
