Grouse calling from the moor.
Quite a few small gulls on the Res. ironwork with a
few on the water.

Looks
like someone was fed up with their old car and lobbed it over the wall.
The Yorkshire Water man was on the case
however.
Muscovy, Mallard, Usual Gulls, Moorhen, Pheasant.
A Robin came near scrounging some of my lunchtime
scran.
A flock of c40 Goldfinch feeding in the trees.
LTT, Dunnock, Grouse calling from the moor.

Unusually quiet.
12 Jackdaw, Pheasant, Mallard, usual gulls.
A BEE flew by.
Green Woodpecker calling, 4 Wren, 3 Robin, Great,
Coal & Blue Tit.
2F 1M Bullfinch, Goldcrest.
Lots of Blackbirds in the trees near the top path
above the Res.
The highlight of a dull day a Dipper in the small walled stream to
the north of the Res. Dipper seems to be my bird of the week.
2 Little Owl calling when I arrived back at the road.

ReplyDeleteBy hec John !! looks like a big raptor to me too - Harrier sp..? but it has a big belly might suggest something else maybe . Did you get any colour on it ?

ReplyDeleteThe light was poor so did not get any colour.
It was flying with conviction - going from A to B.
