Dipper dee doo dah.
1st December and a dull quiet day with not a lot happening.
(No Redwing or Fieldfare – I must be looking in the wrong places).

Solitary Lapwing > W
Usual gulls, 1 Pheasant, Mistle Thrush
And that’s all folks.

Lower Laithe.

Some of the Res. is a bit to distant for my bins/camera.
Grouse calling from the moor.
Quite a few small gulls on the Res. ironwork with a few on the water.
Woodpigeon  ? > N

Ponden 12:20

Looks like someone was fed up with their old car and lobbed it over the wall.
The Yorkshire Water man was on the case however.
Muscovy, Mallard, Usual Gulls, Moorhen, Pheasant.
A Robin came near scrounging some of my lunchtime scran.
A flock of c40 Goldfinch feeding in the trees.
LTT, Dunnock, Grouse calling from the moor.

Leeming 13:20

Unusually quiet.
12 Jackdaw, Pheasant, Mallard, usual gulls.
A BEE flew by.
Green Woodpecker calling, 4 Wren, 3 Robin, Great, Coal & Blue Tit.
2F 1M Bullfinch, Goldcrest.
Lots of Blackbirds in the trees near the top path above the Res.
The highlight of a dull day a Dipper in the small walled stream to the north of the Res. Dipper seems to be my bird of the week.

2 Little Owl calling when I arrived back at the road.

  4. Looked like a possible raptor in flight so I took the pic.
The light was poor so did not get any colour.
It was flying with conviction - going from A to B.
    Thanks for the interest.
