We struggled to get Abigail to sleep last night - she went to bed at 7pm but she was still wide awake in bed at Midnight feeling 'rotten'.
We decided upon a game of snap downstairs at 1:30am!
The game of snap did the trick!
She's as bright as a button this morning and we are like zombies.
I had a trek up the road to the Raggalds Flood and up to Soil Hill to try and wake up.
The wind at RF was storm force at a guess (rocking the sign post I was leaning against to steady the camera).
The Lapwing family stood there patiently, oblivious to the gale . Also here a few small gulls and c10 Goldfinch clinging desperately to the remains of Thistle stalks and also on the water 2pr. Mallard.
The trip to Soil Hill was tough, walking against the wind, all the way there.
I was going to do the SH contour path but I chickened out, dropped some bird seed and beggared off home.
Just a few Small Gulls seen on the way home.
But I can truly say I'm wide awake now.
Better luck tomorrow?
Perseverance road
A bit of a breeze!
Too breezy for the turbines!
At least the flood,s looking healthier now. Hope you get a full nights sleep tonight.
