A run out
early morning to Knaresborough to look at the shops / cafes turned into a real
damp affair with heavy rain for the most part.
At least I
had a bonus of a Red Kite flying near Huby spotted by Sue on our return journey.
15:45(ish)
A late
afternoon visit to Ogden also turned into a real damp affair with rain for the
most part and unusually strong gusty winds from time to time.
A bit of a
fruitless outing with the weather keeping the smaller birds away until just at
going home time 16:45 the rain stopped for a while and birdsong from Chaffinch
and Great Tit could be heard.
There were a
few small gulls in the air and on the water, the Mallard population was hunched
up near the feeding area and there were 3 LBBG (one Juv. by the looks of it)
taking turns on the podium.
Nice to see
I was not the only one braving the weather with a chance meeting with NK.
Ah well can’t snap a Snow Bunt every
day.
A few awesome pics!
A Red Kite is good enough for one day.
