Whitby

A walk from Runswick Bay to Whitby.

A day out at Whitby and a lovely walk on the Cleveland Way.
The sun was out and although there was a cool breeze it was perfect for a good stroll.

A few ‘this year firsts’ bird wise as well.
Birds:-
Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Chiffchaff, Herring Gull, Kestrel, Linnet, Red Legged Partridge, Swallow, Kittiwake Yellowhammer, Oystercatcher, Dunnock, Robin, Chaffinch and others.

  1. Beautiful Country, I love Whitby. I,m involved with the RNLI and all the old sea stories of wrecks come from that coastline.

I would never have I.D. them from such a distance - I've acquired a nice smile all of a sudden.

  5. Some great scenery & pictures, I particularly like the Puffins & Gannets & always good to see Yellowhammer, a shame we don't see them locally.N.P.

  6. Yep Yellowhammer seem to need some cereal fields or the like.
I've never had one nearby , the nearest was at Knaresborough when I had a static caravan there.
