A walk from Runswick Bay to Whitby.
A day out at Whitby and a lovely walk on the Cleveland Way.
The sun was out and although there was a cool breeze it was perfect for a good stroll.
A few ‘this year firsts’ bird wise as well.
Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Chiffchaff, Herring Gull, Kestrel, Linnet, Red Legged Partridge, Swallow, Kittiwake Yellowhammer, Oystercatcher, Dunnock, Robin, Chaffinch and others.

Beautiful Country, I love Whitby. I,m involved with the RNLI and all the old sea stories of wrecks come from that coastline.
ReplyDeleteBirds on the water, a pair of Eider Duck
Cheers Bri.
ReplyDeleteI would never have I.D. them from such a distance - I've acquired a nice smile all of a sudden.

Some great scenery & pictures, I particularly like the Puffins & Gannets & always good to see Yellowhammer, a shame we don't see them locally.N.P.
ReplyDeleteYep Yellowhammer seem to need some cereal fields or the like.
ReplyDeleteI've never had one nearby , the nearest was at Knaresborough when I had a static caravan there.
