Bingley Stroll

10:20 - 12:20.

I parked at St. Ives this morning and enjoyed a couple of hour’s circular walk.

The route took me down Beckfoot Lane to the river Aire I made a left turn to follow the path to the footbridge across the river. Once across a left turn took me along the river to the road. Here I crossed the river and turned right down Ireland Lane to continue with the river for a while. The return journey was via Altar Lane and a tiny bit of St. Ives estate itself. I actually saw the sun for 5 mins. a rare event these days.

Birds:-

Song Thrush (singing loudly)  , Redwing, 4 Nuthatch, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker (calling), Greenfinch, Long Tailed Tit, 2 Wren (singing), Moorhen, Canada Goose, Kingfisher , 3 Dipper, f. Goosander, c12 Siskin , Bullfinch (calling) and others.

Spot the Kingfisher - strange name for a Kingfisher
