Bradshaw – Oats Royd – Holdsworth Copse

It was a trip down to Oats Royd and surrounding area for me this morning.

It was dull and overcast with intermittent light showers. I thought I’d avoided the wet stuff but it had other ideas.

The usual birds were round and about, but it was nice to see and hear my first Willow Warbler of the year.

I did not see a single Meadow Pipit today, maybe the Sparrowhawk that I spotted was keeping them under wraps.

A Raven passed by, calling high overhead - I did not eyeball it alas.

Birds:-

Pied Wagtail, Mistle Thrush, Raven, Long Tailed Tit, Goldcrest, Sparrowhawk, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Moorhen, Mallard, Jay, Green Woodpecker  calling,  from the general direction of Roper Lane,  Lots of happy singing Wren, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush, Canada Goose.
