Ilkley

After a couple of days entertaining Emma and Abigail we took Sue’s dad out to Ilkley this afternoon for a bit of shopping and a late tea in the Riverside  Pub.

It was quite sunny but a bit on the chilly side (especially if your were in a wheelchair) but we enjoyed the stroll by the river and through the park.

The Riverside pub was very enjoyable as well with good meals at a reasonable price.

There were Swallow and Sand Martin speeding about quite high above the river.
It was hard to tell how many of each, but there were c20 birds in all.

Birds seen on the stroll by the river:-

Swallow, Sand Martin, Pr. Goosander, Grey Wagtail, 8 Black Headed Gull, Mallard, Long Tailed Tit, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Dipper, Chiffchaff and a few others.

Not a bad result for a 30 min stroll.

Swallow and Sand Martin difficult to photograph:-

BHG a bit easier to get
