Quite Quiet.

Bradshaw – Oats Royd – Holdsworth Area

14:00 – 16:00

A real sauna bath of a walk today on a dull, humid damp afternoon – I did avoid the wet stuff – just.

A real poor show today, either the weather, the month of June or my Specsaver look-alikes or all 3 were to blame.

From Oats Royd, I had intended to walk up Roper Lane and along to Raggalds but ran out of steam – or more like it – the steam ran out of me.

A couple of Meadow Pipits were on the walls and it was pleasing to see some Mallard Ducklings on the pond.

Some large fish were in the pond as well. I don’t remember seeing fish in the ponds before perhaps they have been put in here to help the near resident Heron – although I did not see the Heron today.

A few Damselfly were zooming about (if that is what they are).
Just 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff  a Pheasant and a few other sp. at Oats Royd.

Holdsworth Area small plantation held a few Long Tailed Tit.

On the way home Collard Dove, 2 Swallow, Greenfinch and a few others was about it.

Coming up Bradshaw Lane a rumble of a nearby funderstorm – not much fun I thought – but I made it home as the rain began.

A really dull blog – better luck next time I hope.

Waiter !!! There is a Gull in my curry

Some pleasant colours about now

The path from Holdworth Area - Soil Hill in the distance

What would I do without Meadow Pipits?
