14:30 - 18:20
A hectic weekend with a family wedding then playing in Shibden Park on Sunday with Abigail and Emma.
Today is cleaning day (YUK) but after mucking-out wit wife, I managed a good few hours out and about.
It was a calm day dull early on but it got quite warm later.
Nothing exceptional to shout about today.
The main thing I noticed was the distinct increase in smaller birds, namely Linnet, Goldfinch and Chaffinch.
A huge flock of Startling over the Bonnet area(although on the photo they doesn't look like Starling).
Taylor Lane area:
A very large Gull overhead, 3 Meadow Pipit, 2 Black Headed Gull, 3 Mistle Thrush.
Soil Hill:
3 Swallow, 2 Wren, c25 Meadow Pipit, 1 Skylark, 2 Lesser Black Backed Gull overhead, 6 goldfinch, Blackbird.
Coal Lane:
20 Goldfinch, 5 Linnet.
Plantation Area:
5 Swallow, Unid on a telephone line, Little Owl, 4 Pheasant.
An enjoyable, if short, chat with B.S. who was tearing about!!
