Day of the Meadow Pipit

11:45 - 15:45

Quite a hike today and very lucky with the weather, I stayed dry all day.

From Bradshaw I went up Taylor Lane and along to and around Soil Hill, along Ned Hill Track to Coal Lane and across to Ogden.

I did a circuit of the water  and turned left at the end of the prom. to drop down to cross the stream bridge and exit onto Rocks Road.
A right turn brought me to Lane Head Lane and 2 left turns took me along the Calderdale Way to Mount Zion and Per Lane.

Home was via Cow Hill Gate Lane, Ingham Lane and Bradshaw Lane.

I kept on walking hoping for something decent to report - it's been one of those weeks - nothing special turned up.

Birds:-

Another windy day and I found it really difficult to pick up anything special.
I kept looking skyward but no Geese came over.

Meadow Pipit were "everywhere" 30 ish Soil Hill, 50 ish Coal Lane, 30 ish Cow Hill Gate Lane and lots of 4's  and 5's here and there.

3 Goldcrest, couple Chaffinch, just a few  Blue & Great Tit.
