Ilkley

After a really miserable wet morning the sun came out and we had a late afternoon trip out to Ilkley.

We had a short walk along the River Wharf before enjoying a pizza in the Riverside Inn - always good food here.

The highlight of the outing was seeing an Otter within 10 feet of us - it soon disappeared under the water, not to be seen again.

Birds:-

Jay, Dipper, 6 Moorhen, 2 Cormorant, Singing Chiffchaff, Heron, Bullfinch calling, 2 Grey Wagtail, 2 Wren.

I was expecting to see some winter Thrushes, but apart from 5 Mistle Thrush, seen on the power lines near Dick Hudson's, on the way home, no other Thrushes were seen.

Some pretty autumn colours

Otter honest (must be under the water near the banking)
