The usual outing this morning to a very, very showery Soil Hill.
I was hoping the Ringby Top , Snow Bunting might be in residence but I did not see it.
Plenty of action near the comms. mast with 3 BT vans on the main track and another van on Perseverance Road - might have had an adverse effect on the birds.
Birds:-
Little Owl seen from Taylor Lane.
C7 Skylark on Soil Hill.
Possibly as many as 200 Lapwing took flight, seen from the north hillside.
They were very, very distant in the field adjacent to Thornton Road so my estimate may be wrong.
Lots of Starling with the Lapwing.
Poor weather didn't help.
Not a lot else about.
At least you braved it mate, not nice up Ringby and Soil Hill in this weather.
