>Bradshaw - Soil Hill - Ogden circular

15:25 - 19:00

The usual walk this aft.
Breezy on a very quiet Soil Hill but pleasantly warm around Ogden and a bit of perspiration on the slog up to Percy Road on the return leg.

 Birds:-

Bradshaw to Soil Hill.

Little Owl, 2 very distant Curlew below Soil Hill north end, Kestrel.
A few Meadow Pipit and Sklylark.

Ned Hill Track to Ogden Water.

A lot of Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the move.
A group of 6 with one very vociferous - possibly a Herring Gull but I cannot distinguish the call of a Herring Gull from a LBBG.

A very elusive Willow Warbler, Song Thrush and a Greenfinch on Ned Hill Track, Kestrel,Linnets.
A second Little Owl.

17:05 Ogden Water.

A slow saunter around the water where there were c200 Gulls as I arrived and c30 as I left.

Lesser Black-Backed Gull, Black Headed and Common Gull and one Herring Gull I think I can see on the photos!

One very vociferous Gull , maybe the one seen / heard earlier.

5 Cormorant and a couple of Canada Geese.

3 tiny Mallard chicks were on the water.

Very pleased to pick out this Little Owl

An escaping Curlew on the left

Cropped

Another very poor Curlew snap

And a few more..

Another very distant photo - but I can't turn it into anything other that a curlew.

Spot the Song Thrush

It's a while since I've seen so many Gulls at Ogden.
So I photographed a good deal of them
in case I've missed a Mega -
Sorry!!

Middle Gull possibly a Herring Gull?

Mallard chicks looking for Kevlar vests

This Cormorant was swimming very low in the water
and the dive was very shallow so - it's a Cormorant!
