The last day of October and a cold breeze early in the walk gave way to calm milder conditions.
Grey and dull throughout.
Birds were very hard to come by today with Oats Royd particularly quiet.
Bradshaw Park did not bother the camera much.
The fields down to Holdsworth area held a few small, mainly Common, Gull.
I could tell they were Common by their **!!?** language.
Approaching Oats Royd a Heron landed in a nearby field and a Weasel jumped through the grass towards me, saw me, and disappears into a wall.
Can't blame it really, I'd nowt much to tell it.
Oats Royd had 2 fisherman types sat in their cars chatting, waiting for the rain? also here a Kestrel, a Moorhen and a Jay!!
Home via the Bonnet Hall route brought me some respite when I eventually located a Little Owl and a second Kestrel.
I scanned the walls, hoping to recapture those heady Black Redstart days, and the sky for Pinkfeet but it wasn't to be for me today.
Let's see what November has in store.
Raggalds Food 15:30.
A quick stroll up to Raggalds Flood this aft revealed c110 Lapwing and a solitary Starling and plenty of water.
The path down to Holdsworth Area
Pule Hill, Ringby Top in the far distant murk
