√Skipton

A shopping trip to Skipton, ostensibly, but I  managed a short circular walk through Skipton Woods.

A cold morning, improved to give some sunshine and the temperature reached 12 degrees late afternoon.

A very pleasant stroll, along the stream and up through the woods with a stop for lunch in the church cafe, on a great autumn day.

A very good selection of birds were on offer today making for an interesting hour or so.

Birds:-

2 Nuthatch, 5 Grey Wagtail, 2 Wren, Heron,a distant Dipper, at least 5 Treecreeper, 2 Goldcrest and a large contingent of Long Tailed Tit.

We stopped for a quick look on the Raggalds Flood on the way home.
There are some cattle in the field and about 120 or so Lapwing.
